Owl Ride identity

For its inaugural year, Oxide is proud to announce our partnership with Omaha’s own Owl Ride. The Owl Ride is a nighttime bike ride through Downtown, Midtown, Dundee, Aksarben, Field Club and Old Market neighborhoods. It will be the largest nighttime bike ride between Chicago and Denver. With its casual approach, riders of all skill levels are welcome to enjoy all that the ride has to offer, including the pre-ride entertainment — Playing with Fire. The ride will also offer various stops along the way, including a stop at Pitch Pizzeria.

With the name already in place, it was up to Oxide to create appropriate visuals to promote the event. Keeping in mind the ride’s non-competitive nature, Oxide decided to create a very playful hand-drawn identity that would be welcoming to riders of all ages. Keep an eye out around town for posters, flyers and cards which were printed in-house by UNMC. If you’re interested in participating in this year’s Owl Ride make sure to register soon and stop by one of the ride’s route and mechanical supporters: the Bike Rack, GreenStreet Cycles, Olympia Cycle, or the Bike Way. The Owl Ride will benefit the Meyer Foundation for Disabilities, an organization dedicated to serving people with developmental disabilities through programs that improve their quality of life and promote inclusion in the community.
