We’ve been partnering with Bric since its inception on a variety of projects including naming, branding, user interface design, web design and development, and marketing. The super-smart brains that built their software also have a lot of great advice to share on their blog — advice for creative firms on topics like best practices, strategic planning, billable rates, and employee utilization.
With so many topics to cover and so much to say, Bric needed a quick and easy way to convey the topic of each post in a single image. We approached each illustration in a similar way to how we approach logo design, reading each post as a way to gather information and then concepting and building an image that represents that information in the simplest way possible.
We had already defined the illustration style and color palette while building Bric’s brand and website, so these illustrations were each fun and quick exercises in working within a consistent corporate style.
