Over the past year and a half, Oxide has had the honor working with Michael Sanchez on his latest restaurant, Mula Mexican Kitchen & Tequileria. Located on the corner of 40th and Farnam, this establishment has become one of the must-see destinations in Omaha. This modern take on Mexican food has something for everyone with specialty margaritas & tequila cocktails to high-end dinner and lunch menu items.

Throughout our working relationship with Mula, we’ve been privileged with branding the restaurant, lending a hand in everything from the logo to interior design. We recently completed the latest project of the campaign: a new website.

In keeping with the same design styles and branding, the website maintains a consistent vintage aesthetic you’d find with an authentic Mexican street restaurant. From background textures, type treatment, and lithographs, every element reinforces the traditional yet adventurous atmosphere.

This Mula site was a lot of fun to develop. It’s one of the first couple of websites I’ve had the privilege of working on here at Oxide. In order to make sure this site performed how we needed it to, we modified the admin of WordPress pretty heavily as well as implemented some fun front-end parallax and Flexbox. (Side note for the developers in the audience: As Flexbox is still quite new, I was impressed how well it maintained the layout across screen sizes and devices. I will definitely use it again in the future.)
